Greetings From Mars
2015
This series follows two astronauts visiting Mars for the first time, not as explorers, but as modern-day tourists. Their journey engages with the theme of space exploration while reflecting on our evolving relationship with images in an era of constant connectivity.
Traveling across worlds, much like traveling across the globe, has become an effortless pursuit of the exotic and the new. Yet it is inseparable from the irresistible urge to share every moment in real time. We have moved from “I think, therefore I am” to “I document, therefore I am,” prompting a reconsideration of what it truly means to explore.
Has the sense of remoteness disappeared, even on a planet millions of kilometers away? Do we seek genuine immersion in new environments, or merely the validation that comes from capturing and displaying them?
